While I did significant sunbathing during my May trip to Florida, that was enough for me. Anymore, it's hats and sunscreen.
If I couldn't be in the sun anymore someone may as well put a gun to my head and pull the trigger.
See my mom took perfect care of her health, she ate right and didn't drink or smoke, didn't do drugs. She had no harmful habits whatsoever. She died at 54 of bone cancer.
While skin cancer is not my goal, at least if I get it someday, I had fun getting it.

As long as it doesn't harm someone else my philosophy is do whatever makes you happy. I don't care what it is.
My dad used to work outside in the summer when he was a teenager, back in the days before they knew that sun exposure and burns would increase your risk of skin cancer.
Sure enough, almost exactly 50 years later, he had to have a melanoma removed from his nose. It was pretty close to the time that Ronald Reagan had the same surgery; that made it a lot easier for my dad to explain what had happened to his nose.
You ARE really tan, GL! And you have a kind of intense expression. It reminds me of the expression that Charlie Manson had in that famous photograph of him, with the swastika on his forehead, gazing intently at the camera.
